Why? Because owning a gun is a property right, with special protection in the Constitution. Gun Control means threatening people with gun violence if they own guns and refuse to comply with Gun Control --> you have to threaten people with gun violence in order to make them give up their guns. That's what law enforcement boils down to -- threatening people with gun violence if they don't comply. In a country with liberty, this only applies to the bad guys and there is an escalation process that takes place before that happens.
Since there are only two types of laws (see What is Liberty below), gun violence is appropriate in Type 1 situations -- protection of property rights. For the pacifists out there, sorry, but that's just a part of the human condition.
On the other hand, Gun control is not a Type 1 situation. It is a Type 2 situation -- an attack on property. Gun Control is not a Type 1 law -- it is a Type 2 law. It is another form of Type 2 attack on property by the government.
If the people refuse to comply with Gun Control, you have to threaten them with gun violence to punish them for not complying. There's an escalation process, of course, but the bottom line is "comply or we shoot you to pieces with gun violence".
Conclusion: Gun control is gun violence.
What is Liberty:
Liberty is a poetic term for property rights.
Therefore there are only two kind of laws:
Type 1 laws) those that protect property rights
Type 2 laws) and those that attack property rights <--- where fascism lives
"Have the government do unto others and their property as you'd have the government do unto you, and your property."
We can eliminate 90% of the strife and conflict we call politics with first principles of liberty.
