Lets look at it this way...
If I was a passenger in your car and you were headed for a cliff...wouldn't I try to stop you? Wouldn't I KEEP trying to stop you? Right up until you drove off the cliff?
America IS heading for a cliff...I'm trying to stop it...I will continue to try to stop it.
