Probably close to 50% attended some sort of schooling beyond high school, although in those days if you had black skin your selection was poor at best. Jobs also, thus they were restricted to low end jobs in the steel mills or worse.
I know that most families were law abiding citizens, BUT they shared my frustration with their skin color being the determining factor is so many issues in their lives. I only can speak to one guy with whom I have re established contact and his grandchildren were the first to be able to overcome some of the bias and are attending first rate schools.
YOU are so wrong and that is why you just take up space......the problem is NOT their skin color but their economic situation. Those folks who kill, rob, sell drugs and happen to be white I suppose are just genetic mistakes.
Your condemnation of someone by skin color is a testament, in my experience to a loser who must find a way to be superior.
