In our village, the cart path is outside the gate. In essence, we can't walk from inside our village to outside our village without crossing private property. I think that's odd. It means we can't walk for the mail. Our mailboxes are outside of our village. I understand it's a safety issue, but it's not impossible to make a careful exit out of our gate when on foot.
