"What Goes Around Comes Around
Once colleges cared if your ancestors came over on the Mayflower.
Today many colleges are demanding that black students being admitted give preference to descendants of those whose ancestors arrived on slave ships.
Enter Cornell’s Black Student Union who have made demands that the university come up with a plan that increases so called “ underrepresented black student” defined as only those “black students” who have several generations in this nation.
It seems that black student immigrants from African and Caribbean nations are outperforming their domestic counter parts and have identified positively with their ethnic origins.
In response to Cornell's Black Student Union's complaint, African-Caribbean blacks lament that liberal American black who worship at the altar of diversity and victim-hood should welcome real Africans.
Indeed the infamous Professor Henry Louis Gates estimates that two-thirds of Harvard students classified as black are of West Indies and African descent rather than American.
Why doesn't admitting black students from Africa qualify as meeting the colleges quota? Better still in this day and age why are their quotas at all?
What goes around comes around.
And we haven't even talked about the discrimination against Asian who have filed a lawsuit against Harvard.

This establishes two point in my view
1) implicit bias is a farce and racism is a game played for leverage
2) Why is it black student from foreign nations are performing so much better that American blacks. Hint: Perhaps it is because immigrants from Africa ,etc are admitted based on merit.
