Tell me what do you believe goes ahead of the action "to debunk"? Should we all take at face value what snopes.com says is bunk? what about Fox news? CNN? Facebook? Twitter? Goggle?
If one truly feels that the conclusion by any of the aforementioned sources sounds wrong then, perhaps a responsible person should attempt to debunk the debunker first?
There is an inordinate amount of political bias and manipulation going on in this nation today that many readers/listeners have become cynical to much of it. Americans should tread carefully because the political class and media view us all as naifs
