All the speed bumps accomplished at that location is to make the cartpath look like I-4 .
Absent stop sign or traffic devices cars do not always have the right of away (ROW).
For example where diamond lanes end and vehicles merge at gates or coming to stop lights, the vehicle in the lead has the right of way.
Unfortunately we have too many cars that have a need to go first and they intentionally speed up to pass a golf cart on the left.
That situation frightens me more than removing speed bumps

I agree. While some car drivers do recognize this and demonstrate common sense there are most who don't. They certainly wouldn't try to rear end a car in front of them but have no issue trying to run a golf cart of the road.
