Despite what Burns said in his PBS documentary concerning the Vietnam war the actual truth is the vast majority of servicemen were proud to serve.
The enemy is always vigilant and when I hear or read someone mocking servicemen it raises my antennae and
by their comments they define themselves.
In honor of our veterans I will continue to abstain from watching any NFL and given this is veterans weekend I hope many join me.

It's easy to ignore the realities outside the bubble when they don't affect you.
OR...one can work to change it...work to turn a harsh reality into something more comfortable. Like white men do. We change the world to make it more comfortable.
Bullsh!t...MOST did not WANT to be there. They tell others they're there for noble reasons...they convince themselves they're there for noble reasons...but MOST wanted to be home.
Don't do it JUST for veterans...do it because these rich guys are getting richer via a stadium WE paid for...and exorbitant ticket prices. You pay what? $400 to take a family to a game? So the owner can pay some black idiot who happens to be REALLY big...several $ millions a year to play a child's game.
Are we THAT desperate to be entertained?
