I think Obama may be better able to adjust the sails than McCain. With so many radical conservatives in this country, Obama has to toe the line. He has to make us proud. I think he could become one of the best Presidents in recent times. He seems to be moving more towards the middle. I like his ability to "adjust the sails". I'm not sure that McCain is able to adjust. Before some of you go all apepoo on me, I have been to the right of John Birch for much of my life. Am I gettin wiser in my old age? I hope so. I realize some of you will think I've gone batty instead, with this defense of Obama. I just think the man wants to make America respected again. He will have to make some hard choices and take some hard lines in terms of defense. I think he is up to the challenge. I admire his patience and grace under fire. Time will tell.

Sen Obama is as far left as you can get...closer to marxism and certainly socialism for sure.

The fact that you say ..." moving towards the middle" shouild tell you how he will do what it takes to be elected.

You speak of radicals.....check out Sen Obama's associates and "teachers" in his life.....most if not all were radicals. His entire background is with left wing radicals, but as you say he "moves to the middle" and that "movement" has happened just recently.
READ READ READ about his background.....READ READ READ just the Global Poverty act he has before congress now where he wants to "redistribute the worlds resources". Is that what you want in this country...more movement to the left....more social programs.....we are now a nation of enablers and we want more ?

Tell me how can you ignore his past associates and teachers since he has no accomplishments to make a decision on ? On what would you elect this man to be President of the United States ? We are not even allowed to say his full name or we are racist.

Sorry...I am not a staunch supporter of Sen McCain either, but I do not want this country to make a sharp left turn, not as sharp as Sen Obama will take us. I not only do not want all the social programs but this guy has said he will negotiate (since he has backed off a bit but that is his style) with terrorists. Negotiate with folks who have said publicly they want to kill all of us...who behead and torture and we are going to negotiate. Negotiate with a man in Iran who said that the holocaust did not happen and that Israel is...well, lots of names. This is your new president ?

I look at his proposals to "resdistribute our resources" and I really worry a lot. We already give a lot of what we have earned to folks who deem it their right to get it from us....and I want no part of the socialist left wing in the White House...not this far left.

I could go on but already probably went on too long. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT SPECIFIC ISSUES YOU ADMIRE OF THIS MAN ? PLEASE.
