I spent 8 hours in the Villages Hospital 3 days ago. I came in on my own with chest, arm and under the left rib pain. They took me right in. We had driven to Leesburg first and there must have been 50 people in the waiting room. The Villages had only 5 people. They took me back for an EKG. The person doing it was not familiar with the EKG machine and the leads kept falling off plus she had several crossed and kept fiddling with it. It's a good thing I didn''t have a heart attack sitting there for almost 45 minutes to figure it out which she never did. Finally another nurse walked in looking for me and had to show her what she was doing wrong and had it done in less than 5 minutes. From there the care got better with bloodwork and Cat scan. It ended up being something unrelated to the heart thank God. I would say I received excellent care except for the EKG. So far there I have had one bad experience and one good one.
