If you are just transferring FILES, this is a simple process. If you are trying to transfer SOFTWARE, you are in for a world of hurt. Most if not all SOFTWARE, will need to be installed from the original disks. If it is as old as the computer, it probably will not work (you might be lucky and be able to use comparability options), and you will need to upgrade to the current version of the SOFTWARE for windows 10 (?). At $178, it sounds like you purchased a chrome book or equal, if so, you will be out of luck, as your previous windows based SOFTWARE will be useless.
