Actual Liberalism: Its opposition to censorship and state economic controls is based on the same principle of freedom. Liberalism, as the name implies, is the fundamental belief in a political ideal where individuals are free to pursue their own goals, in their own ways, provided they do not infringe on the equal liberty of others.
At the end of the Reagan Revolution, government was bigger. Since the Contract With America, it has grown exponentially. What some have finally realized is that both parties want the power that comes with bigger and more intrusive government, but the Republican party espouses small unobtrusive government, but has produced just the opposite.

Oh, by the way, make sure you enjoy your food that has been inspected, the prescription drugs you take that have been regulated, the jet that you travel in because of the FAA, your interstate road system, your police and fire and EMS, your TV and radio shows, the water you drink, and the air you breathe (at least during the Obama administration), your military, just to name a few of the things we take for granted that are "regulated" and that demand that people's lives be controlled by the government.

Actually, the support of the Constitution is what true Americans want, and the 1st Amendment guarantees that people have the right to protest. That IS patriotic. Diverting that constitutional right is not only NON-PATRIOTIC, but also illegal by those in office who have SWORN to uphold the CONSTITUTION.
Oh, what about WikiLeaks and Trump saying he "loves Wikileaks" and what about the mounting evidence of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia during the presidential campaign? Americans applaud our justice system, and how it decides to punish/acquit those who are charged. Evidently you don't like our justice system.
Sure we do, just like Reagan circumvented Congress by arming the Contras with weapons paid for by illegal drug sales.....like Nixon lied about Watergate.....over the past 7 presidencies, GOP administrations still have 29 times more indictments, 64 times more convictions, and 24 times more prison sentences.
