To give the poor more you MUST increase the "taxes" others pay...or borrow more. Either way...making an increasing number of poor less poor...costs...at least as much more...as you are decreasing their "poorness".
Every $ we spent to make them less poor...costs an equal $ in taxation.
How can you argue that?

In all that math Don, why is it no matter how many tax increases are enacted, there never seems to be any less living below the poverty level?
