Mueller is very smart and a real hard a$$. He will set up the indictments and convictions so that in case there is a federal pardon, the individual states can come after the accused - there will be NO pardon in those cases. Mueller essentially will outmaneuver Trump. As far as firing Mueller, there is considerable constitutional argument over whether Trump can legally do so. If he does, it surely will go to the courts, and eventually even the Supreme Court. He has already said he has no intention of doing so. But considering the huge amount of lies he has told, that clearly doesn't mean anything.
