Ha! Funny, but I do disagree with a few things:
It's the new people that wait until the last minute to get ready for a hurricane - then they panic and evacuate anyway.
There's one highway that runs east to west - the "Beach line", which is still referred to as the Bee-line by natives. Actually, Hwy 50 cuts right across the entire state east to west, but is an ordeal to drive.
The 4 seasons in Florida actually are: Tourist season, Hurricane season, Summer, and Snowbird season.
And I'd like to point out that most of the drivers here came from somewhere else! Florida is the only state where you start a conversation with: Where are you from?
