It has been an obstructionist Republican party for the past 5 years that has not leant itself to "bipartisan" involvement. Perfect example is this new "tax" plan, which was driven through Congress without hearings, debate, or any involvement by the political opposition. And, by the way, over 70% of the American population OPPOSE this bill. Other examples include the obstruction of a Supreme Court nominee by Obama, the rendering of a government shutdown by Republican inactivity to pass a budget, just to name a few . True adults actually discuss things before a decision is made....
