The Villages will hold a “1 day reception and Expo” for renters from 8am-2pm on the first working day each month and require new renters to attend if they wish to gain possession of their id cards on that day. This may be a nice attempt to provide info to renters but making attendance a requirement by holding the id cards hostage is inconsiderate and inconvenient. Someday the Rohan Rec Center will be a centralized, convenient location, but today it is neither for renters in Spanish Springs or Lake Sumter areas.

Our renters will drive a long distance over several days, arriving at the beginning of January to start their winter vacation in TV. They will unpack, go food shopping, pick up their golf cart, get settled in a new place, and scout out their new location. And now (instead of walking over to Lake Sumter Sales Office) they will get back in the car and drive to Rohan to pick up the id cards.

Improvements to the ID card process are needed. How about updating the system so owners can order the cards online; pay for them electronically; and select the specific town square location where their renters will pick up the cards? Changing the name and location is not a meaningful improvement to the id card process.
So I this what you told The Villages??
Posting on here is wishful thinking that something will change.....................
