It's late. At least for me. And I am getting into this "Momma Mia" thread really late. And now I am going to link something here that will convince you that my sense of humor just ain't right. But there is a little story that goes with this.
Around our house, when I invite Mr. Boomer to go to a movie, he always asks me, "Does anything get blowed up? Anything get blowed up real good?"
Well, if it is a movie that I want to see, it is unlikely that anything will get "blowed up real good."
Some of you may recognize the allusion to SCTV's "Farm Film Report" with John Candy and the other guy that I don't know who he is. Anyway, this stuff goes really far back. You know, back to the days when SNL was funny.
In honor of the "Momma Mia" thread, I am linking here the "Farm Film Report" about Meryl Streep.
I know that there may be only one or two people who will think this is funny, but that's OK.
Mr. Boomer only discusses movies in terms of whether or not anything "gets blowed up real good." So that's how we communicate about "film" at the Boomer house. (We still have not gone to see "Momma Mia" but I will figure something out.)
Warning: In this video Meryl Streep is a guest on "Celebrity Blowup" for the "Farm Film Report." Need I say more.
