Actually the wealthy pay more than just income taxes. A better question would be how much of the revenue that the government receives comes from the 1%.

When you consider that all corporate taxes come from the ultimate consumer and since the wealthy buy more goods and services, the percentage of revenues to the government is even higher fot he top 1%.
