Actually, any risk is very minimal. Weather plotting is far superior to what it once was and those cruse ships are USUALLY fast enough to outrun a storm. OH AND IF IT GETS CHOPPY, THERE IS NO WAIT FOR MEALS OR SHOWS.
Concerning stock ownership, if you own 100 shares of Carnival stock, you can get an on board credit for each cruise you take on a Carnival Corp owned cruise line. You have to send in proof of ownership for each cruise. The obc is $100 for a 7 day cruise, other length cruises have a different amount.
