We are up north now and can't wait to get to our Villages home ASAP! It's currently -2 outside and the min/max thermometer says it got to -8 last night, and the wind is howling so I can only guess what the wind chill is? As an avid former skier I used to live for the winter, but with bad knees now, I have no need for cold and snow. What is worse is the ice, very dangerous and easy to slip and fall. Our dog doesn't even want to go out in this weather as her paws instantly freeze. Not to mention how short the days are up north. At the Villages the sun sets almost an hour later than up here, where it is pitch dark before 5 PM this time of year.
When we are up north we always wish we were at the Villages, when we are at the Villages we never wish we could go back north. Dam those responsibilities keeping us from becoming FROGS.
