Thinking of moving to the Villages and all set to go and even left my job, but there is this thought that maybe I will miss the NY winters. Maybe not the snow too much.
So, in Feb '14 we left NY and spent 3 weeks in the Orlando area to escape Winter. It was great. Then the 3 weeks were up and we had to go back. When we arrived home, there were 27 inches of snow on our driveway. I barely made it past the snowdrift at our front door to get into the house so I could get the snowblower out. I spent the next 8 hours clearing the driveway. Definitely not smart.

So, in '15 we rented a house here in The Villages and stayed until all the snow melted back in NY. Much smarter!

While here in '15 we decided to buy a house so that we could come back every Winter and not have to pay the high rent. Genius!

Do it, you won't regret it.
