Decided to personally visit the new Havana last night with party of 4. Arrived at 5:40 and was told 20 minute wait. 40 minutes later we were finally seated. General observations:
Hostess Stand: Definitely on top of her game. Masses of patrons coming in to escape the cold and phone ringing off the hook. Kept things moving and wait staff were quick to alert her to clean tables. Grade B (would have been A except for the double wait time)
Bar: While waiting, I went back to the bar which was packed. Was immediately greeted and a Grey Goose martini was quickly made. 3 bartenders, all of which asked me if I had been helped. Grade A
Wait Staff: Came to table immediately upon seating with menus and took drink orders. Mentioned off the menu special. Grade A
Food: Took 25 minutes for our food to arrive which means counting wait time we had been there over an hour before eating. Pizzas were hot with fresh toppings and a nice thin crust. Very tasty. HOWEVER, Burger and fries served cold and also the fish special with Broccoli and Carrots was cold. Wait Staff immediately took both back and returned shortly. I noticed the burger was the same I had sent back (had a bite out of it) Asked wait staff if the kitchen had just nuked it instead of making fresh and was told "yes". Turned the medium burger into well done. Fish dish had been completely re plated and was very good. Kitchen Grade: C
Menu and Pricing: Very little on the menu that could not be found elsewhere in TV at lower prices. Example, Belle Glade Grouper $18.99. Havana Corvina $21.95
Looked like a good menu/place for lunch but there are better menus out there for dinner.
Overall Grade C+
My opinion solely based on 3 decades plus in the restaurant business and YMMV.
