Some people enjoy shopping at brick & mortar stores, trying many things on, seeing how they fit--the whole "shopping experience." Even with free shipping/free returns, internet shopping doesn't work as well for me as going into the store. Then there's the hassle of packing it back up and taking it to post office or UPS. Unless I'm familiar with a brand and how it fits on me, I prefer going into the store.
Talbot's seems to be doing well in SS. They still have decent quality clothing. Places like JJill and JCrew, Loft, and the like have gone downhill on quality in favor of keeping prices low.
