Default Re: Oasis of the Seas

As a distinct fan of cruising, I have very mixed feelings about this incredible vessel!

The bigger they get, the less intimate they are. I'm happiest with Holland America's 1,300-1,800 passenger ships. However, Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas was a wonderful experience in early 2007! Last Thanksgiving I sailed on the Emerald Princess whose guest complement is just over 3,100. I was astounded at how seldom that number was apparent. Only at boarding, and that hang-up was more due to the too few number of TSA-operated checkpoints. I'm aboard the Emerald again this coming Thanksgiving!

I do suspect that many, many of the guests on the Oasis of the Seas will opt to just stay aboard, and not bother going ashore! I think maybe I would, too!
