At the risk of incurring the wrath of the the Great One, I respectfully disagree with his assessment about the subject being beaten to death. As the "plot" plays out and development of the "buffalo grounds" commences, it raises many more serious questions and issues. Specifically it calls into issue the integrity and honesty of the developer and his staff. A quote from the developers staff when the the buffalo issue was peaking as presented in this forum, is disturbing.

"The suggestion that the removal of the buffalo was orchestrated to enable the land to be developed is ridiculous."

In fairness the quote concluded in essence that the developer owns the land and can do what he wants with it. That answer is honest and acceptable. However, the negative publicity brought on by the outcry about Village buffalo forced, in my opinion, a dishonest and misleading response by the developers surrogates if in fact the area is soon developed. That, for me, begs the question about what other issues the developer and his staff may not be honest and forthcoming about.

If the issue was the lawsuits, I have to believe the shear ingenuity historically demonstrated by the Morse family could have solved the problem at relatively minimal expense. An inner fence would have done the job.

The Morse family has done many wonderful things for the residents of The Villages. I am not anti-developer and have posted positive feedback in the past. I do not understand why it is necessary to mislead residents if that land is now being developed. Why all the secrecy about what is going there?

......and that Fumar, is why I take exception with the arbitrary closing of the issue. I hope you haven't fallen asleep with this multi-paragraph post. As you have pointed out in the past, I am long of tooth and have a tendency to ramble.
