Slab foundation are pretty expensive when compared to crawl space foundation ( which means you have access to pipes below floors) Basically all the line in your house are bypassed to the attic and then down usually done with poly tubing and pex fittings Or glued schedule 40 or 80 pvc depending on codes. Poly preferred method cause it will bend and of course not as rigid as PVC and easily repaired.
