I don't know about Nova, but we have a whole house filter system with a water softener and have no problems. We did find the water here a bit hard.

If your stainless is 18/8 (a better grade) or so, it doesn't matter what country it's from. It's all about the quality. Generally, you can tell a lot from the weight of the stainless.

If your stainless is very light in weight, you might consider buying a better set.

The Cascade and Finish pods are excellent. Cascade makes two separate products and you might try the better (more expensive) one. We use Finish and Finish rinse and have no problem.

Lastly, could the problem be your dishwasher or the cycle you use? If you don't use a heat (dry) setting, make sure you crack the door when the cycle is done so the contents can air dry.
