There may be no qualified urologists practicing within this area. Specialists are not employed directly by hospitals unless they are large teaching hospitals. They are granted privileges as I understand it. Is that your understanding?
There is a service I just read on this Forum called "Jewish Mother Transportation, perhaps since you have no transportation, this company could take you and your dad to a urologist out of the area?

GG, you are correct. One of the benefits of having a primary care physician is that they can ease the referral process for a patient. My primary care handles any referrals he thinks I need.
Advanced Urology is a large Urology practice on Cnty Rd 103, just north of WalMart off 466. I believe the OP said she isn’t satisfied with the waiting time for an appointment. I do believe the have the ability to perform urodynamics testing though.
It’s a great group of physicians. I think they have 7-8 urologists at that location alone. I would recommend Mark Dersch, MD.
