I had a good doctor at the Villages Heath and I have medicare and aarp, they wanted me to join their HMO but I said that I travel in my motor home and I have had a heart attack in El Paso, got a stint and was on my way in a few days. I have traveled with others that had HMO's and they had to get permission and jump thru hoops. I said no and Villages health kicked me out. I understand they are in financial trouble and would guess that kicking out some of their patients has made them also cut down on the Doctors they have. I am not happy with medical facilities in the village. Ihave used Monroe Heart for open heart and 4 by passes. Any real problems that is where I go. I have an independent doctor in the villages now and get along fine with him.
