We decided against the hurricane blinds after going thru a hurricane with zero damage so we decided that the extra cost wouldnt be worth it. The hurricane blinds arent actually kevlar, they have some of the same materials as kevlar. Instead we used Dress up your Windows to install outside power shades. They did a great job, and we love the shades. You re welcome to come look for yourself if you wish.
