It is sometimes too hot in February but then I look at the temperatures where I used to live- IL, WI, UT, and MN, among other places-- and I see I have NOTHING to complain about.
The temps in Santa Rosa, CA; Redwood City, CA; Scottsdale, AZ; and Reno, NV sometimes look more attractive than those in the Villages though.
