You are so right about that, Ken. Most everyone is so friendly and welcoming. One time I went down with my sister-in-law for a week. She wanted to take a nap one afternoon, so I went out and walked the neighborhood that we rented in. I probably didn't get more than a quarter of a mile away and ended up back at the villa 2 hours later........too many people to chat with along the way! And you always manage to find something in common.
You'll appreciate this one. My husband and I were walking a neighborhood around dusk one evening. A couple came toward us with some very visible, reflective clothing on. We made mention that they certainly could be seen easily at that time of day. Here, they were coming from a Gold Wing party down the street and were dressed in their riding gear. Next thing we knew they were taking us into their garage to see their new bike and then their house to show us a model we had
not seen before.
NOTHING like the people in The Villages. Of course, you already know that to some extent from your cruise encounters.
