They don't worry much about roaches/palmetto bugs in Australia. (Why... WHY???) They don't worry much about screens either (or air conditioning, but that's another story...)
I'm sitting with my son in the TV room of their house in the AM before work, the TV is on, and the cat is going crazy. The TV is on a bookshelf. I ask what's up with the cat, and David says There's a roach beside the TV on the shelf.
So I look, and the sucker is three inches long. I freak. David says What do you want me to do, and I say, SCOOP IT UP and throw it out the damn window that has no SCREENS!!!!!
I lived in Georgia for five years. Roaches make my skin crawl. Massey is my first line of defense. I don't trust myself to get the right spots with anything from Home
Depot. Plus we have pets.
Why a tropical country eschews window screens (not to mention air conditioning) is beyond me. But I digress.
