I guess it is how you look at things.
There is a lot of bad contractors and utility works that either are improperly trained or idiots and not even aware they have damaged something.
I would rather be made aware and control my own system.
A text, email etc.. to make me aware would be fine and not cost anything and could be computer generated when the work order is generated.
That way if the customer wants to be there ok, if not so be it. At least we have a choice.
