The truth is they expect me to get up early and go to work (even if I don't feel like it )work my but off to try to be successful so they can take half or more from me and give it to someone who doesn't go to work. Both the Republicans and the Democrats have worked very hard on the Work Fair idea. Welfare rolls have been reduced nationwide by putting limits on the number of years people have to get off the rolls.
Also you need look at what has happened to this country's budget since the Republicans took control in 2001. This administration has expanded the federal government, cut taxes in a time of war and an borrowed the bulk of the money from a Communist country. We are so in debt to China that when they sell us pet food that kills our pets and heparin that kills our people....our government is afraid to do anything for fear they will call the debt in.
And are you sure you are in the 50% tax bracket?
