I doubt the friction plates are worn out. Ive had some 07-08 apart recently ( governor shaft), no sign of wear.
Ive only heard of one being worn out and that was a 6 seater that was heavy use in with lots of hills.
Ive heard about some being replaced here in the villages, but I seriously doubt they needed changed.
