Our neighborhood just had a scavenger hunt in late March. The participants had to answer questions about the area rather than retrieve items. The answers had to be visible from the street.

Define your "neighborhood" and then walk around looking for potential questions. For example, how may free standing flag poles are there, how many fire hydrants, etc. Look at yard art, the home, the driveway, the front door color, etc. Think of questions related to a resident's name - if a resident's name is Ford a question could be "Who might have an old Model T in their garage?" Just check that the name is visible from street-side. This assures that any resident - either long-term or newcomer - has an equal chance to win.

As you walk around, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the number of potential questions you can generate.
