My wife and I first went to Disney as young adults and we absolutely loved it. We brought our son to Disney many times and he always loved it (still does). Disney has changed dramatically over all these years as have we. One thing hasn't changed - our love of Disney. We have annual passes. We try to avoid crowds. We are never in a hurry. We don't have to go on any particular ride since we have been on all of them, often. If there is some new and very popular ride, we can wait a bit to try it. We might go just for dinner. We might make a trip just for the fireworks. It is just over an hour from our place in The Villages. When it is just the two of us, we never stay at the resort hotels so the cost of doing so is very rarely an issue. We fully recognize the costs and difficulties of bringing the family (as all four of my siblings have done with their families). When it is just us, Disney is still a very magical place.
