Yesterday my wife said let's go out and look at dogs. I know it is too soon for her. Not ready yet. When it does happen it will be a rescue. It just makes sense.

NOTHING like a good dog. Our last one was the best and she was a rescue. It has been several years now since she passed and I still miss her. I'm not sure if we will get another at this point or not. We look at it as a big responsibility which we don't take lightly, and right now we like the freedom to just get up and go and not worry about a pet. But never say never, I guess.
One funny thing that I remember about her - although she loved all of us (our son was only in the 2nd grade when we got her), whenever my husband and I got into an argument, she would come over to wherever I was and stay close to me as if she was making the point as to who's side she was on. We always got a kick out of that. Yeah, it was great having another female in the house for a change - haha!
