Exactly !
And I would like to see Sen. Obama where he is in a true response scenario, rather than always being heavily scripted, well-rehearsed and teleprompter at the ready.
I have no idea on how Sen. Obama would respond to crises, as he has no documented history of having to deal with anything coming close to being a crisis. Sure, he gives great speeches, but so does James Earl Jones and George C. Scott - any good actor can! Where does the
actor end and the
man begin?
If Sen. Obama wants me to bet with my vote that he is the better man at times of crises, prove it! Anyone can drive a car in a straight line on a smooth road, but what happens when the potholes appear out of nowhere?
Sen. McCain, by virtue of a long life and several events, has proven his competency in times of crises. That's the tough part of being longer-in-the-tooth, that being having to face more bumps in the road, especially those not of life's choosing.
It is the candidate's job to prove their mettle, not mine to find out through research and analysis. They are the applicants for the job, coming to me, one of the folks on the national selection committee. My job is to get the most for my vote.
