Going by ambulance does not put you at the head of the line. If you don't believe me, ask the paramedics. They assess you on the way, report their findings to the hospital en route, and the hospital takes it from there. If you are truly an "emergency", you do get treated quicker....no matter how you get there.

If you are in the throes of a heart attack, as my husband was, you better pray they take you to TVRH (southernmost part of TV, Leesburg). You might not make it to Tampa. Graciegirl might well not have with a continually dropping heart rate.
