Re: Do You Love Your Mattress?
Here's my report back to Mint about whether or not the newer version of the Sleep Number has that thing sticking up in the middle. And about some other stuff, too. I am posting and I can't shut up this morning.
The thing in the middle does not seem to be a problem. Ours has a pretty good amount of padding on the top. It's not the one with the most padding. I think it's next to that one. That may be the difference. I don't know if the older ones had all the various choices of padding. But I poked around and did not find much of anything. One of the people I influenced said that if she ever gets another one, she wants one with less padding so she experiences the whole air mattress thing better. She likes hers a lot, but thinks she could have saved some money on doing without the additional padding and liked it even better.
When I use a really low number, my side can end up looking like a hammock though.
The marketing on these things is something to behold. The website lets you figure out a bunch of stuff, including price. I had always thought they were a lot more expensive than other mattresses. But I found that not to be the case. At least not with what I was looking at in the sheep's store.
And I sure would never buy one from just the website, without going to the store to try it out in person. I am sure that many people hate the Sleep Number very much. I think they do have a 30-day trial or something like that.
Of course, it's all about conversation and opinion and finally a decision. Just like so many other things.
Good luck.
