OP, you might be able to get info from home warranty. Also they may be able to tell you where you can get your house plans if they are available for a house that old. The last option would be to take a small drill (1/16 inch) and drill test holes in inconspicuous locations. It should be obvious if you hit wood, foam board or other material. You did not state why you need the info, but if you are trying to mount something, the typical stud finders will not work, and you may need to use my drill method, or use stud finder inside the house, take measurements and then measure outside.
