Yeah, I remember some past experiences with flooding and power outages. It is not fun and at the time, as you say, NOTHING else matters except the moment to moment of how to make it through.

One thing about Florida regarding power outages, at least you don't have to worry about freezing to death. Much rather have an outage up here in the summer months than the dead of winter. But nevertheless you worry about people with medical conditions and the like. NOTHING but an edge of the seat moment in one's life, especially not knowing when the power will come back on or when the rain will stop and/or the water will recede.

Anyway, sorry that you had to be one of the unfortunate ones with long term power loss, but glad you missed the flooding of your home. I know some people were not so fortunate and suffered a lot at that time.
