Specifically, in CDD12 (Fenney, DeSoto, De Luna, etc.) which is all the area currently under development west of the turnpike there are plans for 5 executive courses, 2 are open, 2 are in the final stages of construction, and grading has started on the 5th. (this does not include the pitch and put or put and play courses) These are in an area that will have just over 3600 homes, or about 1 hole for every 80 homes. The current villages average is about 1 hole for every 90 homes. So the new course are bringing the overall average down contrary to popular thoughts on this and other web sites.

Not included in these numbers is the new championship course on the east side of the turnpike that was announced but no real details released. Also, none of us are in the developer's inner circle and have seen the long term plans (think 20-30 years out) of what will be built. It is doubtful that they will screw up a plan that has worked well for over 30 years so far. The developer only shares what is absolutely necessary to keep the building and permitting process going, anything else is financial suicide for them.

Another good indicator to look at is what they are building and how they are using the land. CDD12 has more green/open spaces that other districts, for example CDD12 and CDD10 are both just at 1500 acres but CDD12 has 3637 homes planed and CDD10 has 6647 homes. This acreage DOES NOT include any golf courses, only homes, roadways, and public spaces. So nearly twice the green/open space per home in CDD12 vs CDD10. To me that is a shift in the right direction for the residents.

What they've announced so far of the big picture is about 28000 new home south of SR44. Supporting that big picture they have given us a very small window into just 3600 homes, 5 executive course, 1 championship course, a couple of recreations centers, a Villages Grown farming area, a couple of bridges, and some hints of commercial areas to come. Assuming they hold true to their past, and there is little indication they won't, there is a lot more to come to support the big picture. We all just need to wait and see.
great information-----thank-you
