Regardless of where you live, there are always county and utility easements which generally are around ten feet or so of the front of a homesite, in addition to easements on the sides and back of a home.
While the homeowner maintains these areas and they show up on a survey that shows ownership, it would be very costly to sue someone for trespass.
I'd be willing to bet the homeowner loses!
