If I google implant insurance I get many ads and hits but they seem to be ADS not actual advice from a university and hospital.

One thing before you sign up for any plan is check out the "missing tooth clause". This means that if this is in effect any missing teeth which are missing before you sign up for the policy are not covered for an implant. We recently changed plans and found out after the fact that our new policy had this clause.
