We took a 6 week around the world trip.
Started the trip in October 2017 by flying Emirate Air from Orlando to Dubai, long flight. Then 5 nights in Dubai. First full day we took a half day city tour to get a overview of the city. From there we adventured on our own. Friendly people, good public transportation and taxi/Uber. Dubai is a very safe and modern city. The third day we took a day tour to Abu Dabi and on the last day a 4 wheeling desert sand dune trip.
From Abudabi we departed on a 15 day cruise, via 3 stops in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and ended in Singapore. Five day stay in Singapore before flying to San Francisco and staying in the Bay Area. The whole trip I didn’t have any problem with the English language, until I tried to order a coffee at McDonald’s in the San Jose California, Spanish only.
Fantastic trip. Would go back to the Dubai anytime. India was a once and only once in my lifetime. Shri Lanka needs more exploration. Malaysia was OK but would go back to Singapore.
