We've done several 10-day cruises in Europe on 45/46 ft pilot yourself barges. Depending on the model, they come with 2,3, and 4 bedrooms, equipped with toilets, showers, full kitchens, and air conditioning. No experience necessary, you pilot the ship yourself, as they only go 6-7 knots. Some have bow thrusters to make maneuvering pretty easy. You set your own pace and itinerary, or they will help you with one. We've been on the locks and canals in France (Burgundy), Belgium (eastern), and The Netherlands (Amsterdam area).
